Under section 24(3), Schedule 2 of the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2024 (the CR Code), credit reporting bodies (CRBs) must commission an independent review of its operations and processes to assess the CRB’s compliance with its obligations under Part IIIA of the Privacy Act 1988 every 3 years.
The OAIC has now received and reviewed the final independent review reports for Equifax, Experian and Talefin for 2024.
In order to increase accessibility, transparency and visibility over these audit reports, the OAIC has committed to publishing links to the CRBs’ audit reports in its 2021 Independent Review of the CR Code (see Proposal 14). The reports can be found using the links below:
