There is still time to register for the livestream of our event on Wednesday 25 September. We have reached capacity for in-person attendance in Canberra.
It will run from 9:00 am -12:30 pm AEST.
The focus for the day is to explore best practice management of functions under the FOI Act, with presentations from:
- Elizabeth Tydd, Australian Information Commissioner
- Toni Pirani, Freedom of Information Commissioner
- Chris Fechner, Chief Executive Officer, Digital Transformation Agency
- Gayle Milnes, National Data Commissioner
- Amanda Cattermole PSM, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Digital Health Agency
If you would like to attend, please email icon@oaic.gov.au by Friday 20 September.
We hope that you can join us as we celebrate IAID 2024, and help bring to life this year's international theme of ‘mainstreaming access to information and participation in the public sector’.
IAID itself is on 28 September each year, and there will be other events to mark the day organised by state regulators (see below), as well as the hybrid UNESCO event on 1-2 October.
You can also follow IAID social posts via #AccessToInfoDay and #IAID2024.
Make use of our IAID visual assets & toolkit
The OAIC has produced a range of visual assets you can use to promote IAID in your agency including:

The assets are available via a 10 MB zip file you can download from our website.
